When we finally heard the long-awaited release date for Drupal 8 - Thursday 19th November - our digital team thought it only right that we lead from the front and throw a party to celebrate.

Determined to mark the occasion by ‘wetting the baby’s head’ over a few beers, we set to work with just a few weeks’ notice to organise what promises to be a fun and interesting evening for us and our guests.

At the only release party in the Midlands, you’ll hear from IE’s digital team about some of our achievements in Drupal to date. We’ll also take a quick look into the future, with some forward-thinking on what Drupal 8 will enable us to do better in the future. This will be delivered in the form of a few ‘lightning talks’ from our devs and consultants - and accompanied by drinks and nibbles.
