Digital Clients

IE Digital works with charity, health and education clients up and down the UK, as well as internationally. Sometimes we work for large charities and universities that are household names, and sometimes we help small health and social care providers, colleges, or startups with big ambitions. If you’re a values-driven organisation looking for a charity website, a healthcare app, or a university website, then we’d love to add you to our list of clients!

IE Digital designed and built a new website, Coram Story, to explore the history and heritage of charity Coram. The group of children's charities dates back to 1739 when Thomas Coram established The Foundling Hospital. The website invites users to travel through time, learning about the story of care and giving voice to children and young people with experience of care through the ages.

We then built a new website for the parent charity, Coram Group

The new Relate website shown on three mobile phone screens

Relate, the largest provider of relationship support in England and Wales, asked IE Digital to design and build its new digital experience.

The old Relate website was difficult to navigate and didn't convey the energy, warmth and dynamism of the organisation. The new user experience features interactive tools, innovative ways of delivering content, and a highly accessible chat-centric approach.

The revamped website is a more inclusive, safe, warm and approachable experience for its users.

Working with IE Digital has been a dream. They made a complex and overwhelming project not only manageable, but fun. They took the time to fully understand our brief and us – something which really shows in their proposals. This won't be the last project we work on together, now I can't imagine working with anyone else.

IE has worked extensively with the NHS and has a wealth of experience in the health sector.

We created the new brand for University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, following the merger of two trusts.

For NHS Brighton and Hove CCG we delivered a sector-leading, CMS driven web solution to provide an effective communications tool for both CCG members and patients/external stakeholders. Social media is built into the fabric of the highly searchable site and users are encouraged to rate and comment on resources.

IE's other projects have included websites for Birmingham and Solihull NHS Care Trust, NHS West Midlands (WMQI and WMQRS), Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust; an intranet for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust; Moodometer app for 2gether NHS Foundation Trust; and the website and brand for The Strategy Unit, part of NHS Midlands & Lancashire CSU.

IE has again created a really vibrant, attractive, user friendly, engaging web presence... a pleasure to work with... not just creatively and technically excellent but thoroughly professional and well planned.

IE provided invaluable support... I was impressed by how quickly they were able to grapple with and unpick our complexity, and understand the needs of our many different stakeholder groups. • BRF logo in grey and white
    BRF logo

IE has delivered a number of digital projects for BRF Ministries.

We migrated one website from Drupal to Wordpress and combined it into a multi-network website with BRF to bring a consistent approach to all of their sites. Then we revamped the BRF website with a new look and feel. This used their existing visual identity, but incorporated some brand tweaks in response to research. Next we designed and developed a new website for Messy Church – the first to roll out across the wider BRF network.

Behind the scenes we've also been moving their shop from Shopify to WordPress, improving various systems, and more.

The new BRF website is fantastic and it looks so good. The navigation and design have just taken what we do to another level. Please can you convey our thanks to the team. Not only have we got a fabulous new website but the working together has been constructive and we have delivered the website to the deadline.

University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service CHOICE app shown on a mobile phone

University of Southampton is a Russell Group University, ranked 8th in the UK for research intensity by the Research Excellence FrameworkWe worked with their audiology department, the Auditory Implant Service (AIS) to create CHOICE, a world-first application for the support and management of cochlear implant users.

There are more than 17,000 people using cochlear implants in the UK, and this number is rapidly growing. CHOICE allows patients to take care of their hearing health at home, reducing the need for regular in-person appointments at their cochlear implant centre, which could be hours away. Based on extensive research by the AIS team, IE Digital turned the CHOICE remote care service into an app, helping to deliver more accessible and equitable care, and more empowered and confident patients.

We also worked with the University of Southampton as part of the Southern Universities Network (SUN), to create the UniExplorer web app.

It has been a pleasure to work with IE Digital and I have learned a tremendous amount. I first made contact with IE at the UK Health Show. I was impressed with their excitement about the project and we took it from there! IE’s experience with health care sealed the deal for me.

The road to move an app from an idea to a tool used in the NHS has been challenging and exhilarating. IE have incorporated some of their ideas and have always listened to our ideas and thoughts … without bombarding us with tech speak. IE have been fully committed to the user experience and have always kept their sights on the ultimate end user: the NHS patient.

Image of actor on set with the words 'Support for Sound, Stage & Screen' and stage directions (cont'd)

Actors’ Trust supports actors and stage managers across the UK in times of need and since 1882, the charity had been known as ‘The Actors’ Benevolent Fund’. Nearly 150 years later, low awareness, a dated website, and some bad press were all hampering the organisation’s bold ambition to increase its impact and reach within the performing arts community. Market research combined with careful member engagement pointed to the need to rename, refresh and modernise their brand to bring the charity’s exciting new strategy – Acting for Impact – to life.

So far the feedback has been incredibly positive! Going live has emphasised just how strong the new brand and website are, so a huge thank you for that. We are confident this puts us in an incredibly strong position to reach more people and have greater impact as a charity.

IE came to the pitch with a really impressive understanding of our complicated charity and what we needed to achieve with our limited budget. They delivered on time, thoughtfully and creatively, and were unfailingly generous with their time and expertise. Director, lead designer, junior designer – everyone went the extra mile – to the point of offering pro bono time to support one of our young people with a logo design, giving them a taste of life of at an agency and helping them bring their idea to life in such a professional but also kind way. Down to earth, friendly, with an absence of jargon and an acceptance of unforeseen challenges, IE made the process of refreshing our visual identity as easy as it could be, while integrating it with a major web redesign.

IE Digital created the dynamic new website for the UCD Innovation Academy, following a full rebrand. Read the website case study

Previously, we rebranded the Career Development Centre at University College Dublin, and designed and developed a new website for the renamed Careers Network. IE Digital carried out consultancy and stakeholder workshops to define site objectives, map the user journeys, and plan the information architecture etc., designing the end-to-end user experience and front end user interface, which was then implemented in the university’s Terminal 4 CMS. Read more about the UCD Careers Network website.

Having done all the strategic ground work in house to transform the Careers Network, we turned to IE to bring it all to life through our brand. They did a fantastic job of engaging and exciting the whole team and reminding us how great we are at what we do! They understood us, and exposed the value we deliver to our key audiences in an engaging and accessible way.

IE Brand has helped us to navigate the landscape of rebranding our charity. What has impressed me most is the continuity of care. From the bidding process to the reality of working with IE, there is absolutely no difference – IE make us feel like we are their top priority client. They are clearly very knowledgeable and skilful, and this comes through at every stage. They are undoubtedly bringing out the best in our charity and involving us at every step. They have helped us to negotiate some challenging internal conversations, providing support and options at every turn.
