Career Academies UK chooses IE

IE is delighted to announce a really exciting new partnership with national charity, Career Academies UK. The scope of the project will involve both brand and digital, allowing everyone in the studio to contribute ideas and expertise to the project.

Career Academies UK is a national charity that links education with business to prepare young people for the world of work. They work with students who have the potential to get a job, apprenticeship or go to university, but lack the role models, networks and confidence of their wealthier peers.

A vast proportion of their work is delivering support through a programme of regular contact, information and inspiration. The programme is based on four pillars which help students to develop the skills and attitudes essential for work:

  • Mentoring
  • Workplace visits
  • Masterclasses delivered by employee volunteers
  • Internships with national and local employers.

Career Academies UK are keen to be seen by employers, policy makers and schools as the leading employability skills programme and the best practice model for employer engagement in education. They see developing a new charity website as fundamental to meeting their ambitious objectives and have challenged IE’s digital experts to take the lead.

IE’s work with Career Academies will involve a rebranding and discovery phase, the introduction of a new digital strategy, the crafting of a new website and an ambitious online volunteer management system. They are looking to create a scalable website platform which will deliver their programmes as smoothly and efficiently as possible for all stakeholders.

Given IE’s background of working with university careers services and youth focused charities, such as pfeg and Young Enterprise; we are ideally suited to deliver ROI across the board.
