Career Ready's Volunteer Management System - CHASE preview
In "More with Less: a Volunteer Management System is Born," we'll explain how we helped Career Ready to grow.
CHASE 2016, the Charities and Associations Event, is just three weeks away and we’re looking forward to speaking in the Digital Stream alongside Career Ready.
CHASE provides a great opportunity for charities, non-profit organisations and associations to get together with others who are facing similar issues, as well as bringing them into contact with suppliers like IE who can help tackle those challenges.
On Tuesday 16th February, IE’s James Marsh will speak alongside Anne Spackman, Chief Executive of Career Ready, to explain how a new volunteer management system has helped the charity to realise ambitious growth plans.
More with Less: a Volunteer Management System is Born
Career Ready is the charity that links schools and colleges with employers to prepare young people for work. In this seminar session, we’ll explain to delegates how we went about building not just a website but a complete, scalable, digital platform for attracting and managing students, employers and volunteer mentors.
We automated a whole host of unwieldy manual processes, including DBS checking, to greatly reduce the admin involved in running the programme and make it far easier to report on its successes. This allowed Career Ready to scale-up its service to change the lives of many more young people.
About the speakers
Following a distinguished career in journalism - including the successful integration of the digital and print teams as Editor in Chief at Times Digital - Anne Spackman chose to give something back by applying her considerable experience to the third sector. She took up her current post as Chief Executive of Career Ready, where she has led her team through considerable change.
Anne is a consummate communicator and an inspiring leader, with a clear focus on what the charity can achieve through its work with young people. She previously served as trustee of the charity Gingerbread, for which she was awarded the OBE in 2002.
As Senior Digital Consultant at IE, James Marsh brings his expertise in digital customer experience from the commercial sector to a diverse set of values-driven clients, including Career Ready, CLIC Sargent, Round Table and Young Enterprise. He specialises in projects that demand a detailed understanding of audience and has over 15 years’ experience of designing, building and managing web sites, knowledge sharing and mobile platforms.
To hear more, join Anne and James at 1.15 pm on the 16th February at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
The following day, we’ll also be speaking alongside WDP about how we rebranded the charity for the next phase of its development in "Branding: Pure Vanity or Top Priority?"
Attendance is free for delegates from qualifying organisations.
