This week, Carl Timms will be talking to Arts Marketers about the cutting edge techniques and creative approaches that can propel the arts into a digital utopia. He’s leading a session at AMA’s Digital Marketing Day – ‘Future Now’ – at London’s British Museum on Wednesday 5th December.  


How the arts mastered digital: a leap into the future

AMA has 25 years of experience of supporting the British arts and culture sector. The organisation helps people to learn how to make better connections and achieve more impact in their work with audiences. This year’s digital marketing day follows the theme ‘Future Now’, looking and the tantalising possibilities for art marketers in an increasingly digital world.

Carl Timms, a Senior Digital Consultant at IE Digital, will run a session entitled ‘2025: A World of Pure Imagination – how the arts mastered digital…’ He’ll be drawing on his experience of delivering cutting edge digital innovation for arts clients, and gazing into the crystal ball at the digital arts marketing landscape of the near future, and how we’ll get there.

Aimed at marketers from producing companies, the session will explore where we are now, and current and near-future possibilities for the arts sector. Delegates will gain:

  • Ideas for breaking down barriers to experimentation and innovation
  • Challenging thoughts on the nature of content you can and will produce
  • Optimism for the future of technology!

The session promises to be an insightful experience for mid- to senior-level marketers, digital executives, content creators and lovers of experimentation and adventure!

AMA’s digital marketing day 2018 is on Wednesday 5th December from 09.30-16.30 at The British Museum, London and also runs at a linked location, the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow, with keynote sessions live streamed between the two.

Carl’s breakout session will run from 11.30pm-12.20pm at the London venue.
