Ready for the off

IE GDS will officially launch at the HIMSS UK Executive Leadership Summit “Driving Healthcare Transformation” next week. Our Digital Strategy Director Oliver Westmancott will be speaking in front of an invitation-only audience, alongside a number of other influential thought leaders and health CIOs. 

Oliver’s talk – “Clinician confidence: Neglected key to the successful adoption of emerging healthcare technologies” – will draw on our work with Public Health England (PHE). As part of Workstream 2 of the National Information Board (NIB), we’re designing and building a system to endorse healthcare apps with a ‘kitemark’, to give clinicians confidence to recommend mobile technology to patients.

All change?

Not really. IE’s expert digital team has been developing digital services using Agile for public sector and not-for-profit clients for years. For our existing brand and digital clients, there’s no real change in how we work or how we’re structured.

However, with an increasing Government emphasis on digital-first solutions, and IE’s acceptance onto the G-Cloud and Digital Outcomes & Specialists frameworks, it’s the right time to put a greater focus on our GDS clients with a separate site that talks directly to the sector.

IE’s expertise, technologies and approaches, and our talented team of experts won’t change. But for organisations that are focused on working to GDS standards, we’ll be speaking their language.
