The National HE STEM Programme – based on the University of Birmingham campus – supports Higher Education Institutions in the exploration of new approaches to recruiting students and delivering programmes of study within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The National HE STEM Programme is all about engaging with schools, enhance curricula, supporting graduates and developing the workforce. Being the region’s leading digital agency for the education sector – IE was a natural choice for the National HE STEM Programme.

IE was called upon to provide consultancy, web design and build and to give the National HE STEM Programme a brand new website that fully complied with the organisation’s existing brand guidelines. The challenge was to create a site that looked great, was easy for the National HE STEM Programme to edit in-house and ultimately that would help the National HE STEM Programme achieve their strategic goals.

So, what has been the result? Simple navigation system. Intelligent search. Open Source, Drupal content management system. A new home to communicate and celebrate all of the National HE STEM Programme’s events, activities, resources and partners.

The website is a platform through which the National HE STEM Programme can engage and build lasting relationships with the site’s users.
